Hello, my name is Coralie and I warmly welcome you to my website and art studio. Creating an
online space where I can widely share my art work that has been inspired by the natural beauty I see every day, brings me a lot of joy.
I am South Australian by birth and grew up in the
gorgeous Barossa Valley. I went travelling and met a
lovely tall Queensland gentleman, and for the last 30 years I
have called Townsville and North Queensland my home.
I have two children, two Beagles, and have run my own
office supplies business for years. I have always been
creative, with a natural talent and passion for working
with paints and fabric.
It was about 28 years ago that my early hobby of folk
art painting moved into the transforming realm of oils
on canvas. I met and attended a class with Ruth
Heiner, and since then I have rarely stopped painting.
I really love the way oils help me capture a scene, or
our magnificent flowers and wildlife, and do it as much
justice as I can on canvas.
My main focus is oil on canvas and in resin in many forms from canvas to timber or jewellery I also use acrylics.
In more recent years I have dabbled with inks & resin, and have brought fabric back into my creative sphere, designing my own silk painted scarves and original flower themed cushion covers.
I am heavily influenced by the ocean, you can see this in much of my resin work.

My work has been regularly exhibited and sold in local Townsville galleries. Having entered The Burdekin Arts Society Awards for the past several years have won a second prize and a highly commended. I have completed several commissioned pieces and some of my paintings are being appreciated in homes in England, USA, Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong and I am delighted when people love a painting as much as I have loved painting it.
